        2: Smart Working – making technology adapt to you








        You may have been aware of Havering’s
        Smart Working initiative before Coronavirus
        social distancing measures were in force. As
        a refresher, below are the basic principles of
        working smart:
        •    Space is allocated to activities, not

           individuals
        •    A desk is a shared resource and when you

           vacate your desk you take your personal
           items with you
        •    Let others know when you are working

           as you may not follow a traditional 9-5
           working day
        •    Keep your laptop and Smart Working kit,
