a) The best time to visit is October – February.

b) No, the travelogue is not ill timed. The resorts offer huge discounts during off season and the

Agatti resort staff particularly recommended monsoons to get the benefit of discounts and not
miss much. During monsoons the trip to neighboring islands is skipped as the sea is choppy.

c) In case you are idyllic and lazy types like me, do go to Agatti. For more energetic folks, sea

route to Kavaratti etc. would be a better option.

d) I am told that Kingfisher has also started services to Agatti and operates an ATR. Eminently

avoidable, when you have the pleasure and unforgettable experience of flying on the rickety

contraption “Urankhatola” of Indian Airlines.

PLEASE TRAVEL ON INDIAN AIRLINES ONLY.

e) While making an application for LFC, show destination as Bangaram Island via Agatti. The resort
charges for the Motor Boat trip to the neighboring islands, including Bangaram, and gives proper

receipt for the charges. This can thus be included in the LFC Bill.

f) One requires a permit to enter Lakshadweep. This is arranged by the Resort once you make the

bookings.
