when the hall was still brimming with activity, I wondered if I should have taken a later flight. My
               travel companion Manoj agreed.

When Manoj initiated me into the TSB/PO’s 88 group sometime in July, I had almost instantly
decided to participate in the TSB celebrations thinking it would perhaps be the last opportunity

to meet the entire brood in such a large number. Every single day since there were numerous
fearful moments of what if I were to cancel. Every office emergency, health issues in the family,

or the fear of some unforeseen commitments raising the head in the nick of time, lent credence
to this obscure thought. Thank God the days leading up to the journey to and fro Hyderabad
were as flawless as the event was.

All good things eventually come to an end and TSB celebrations did too. But there is something

important still left to be done – to appreciate the moments and be thankful to all of those who
               made it possible.

I am first and foremost thankful to Manoj to have initiated me into the group. If he did not take
the initiative to call and meet me in Ahmedabad many months ago, I would have missed the
togetherness and revelry of the TSB. And what a grand miss it would have been!

For all the fun, bonhomie, reminiscence of good old days in the Bank, song & dance, and letting
one’s spirit loose no holds barred, I am so thankful and appreciative of the untiring efforts of the

entire team that made it possible, namely; Chamy, Phani, Madhu, Gwalia, Vinay, Abhijeet,
Raghu, Sheshu et.el. (Disclaimer – if any deserving name is missing here, blame it on the

weakening memory of this 54-year old 1974-born PO).

I shall be eternally thankful to the guy who could replace my tight 44 ‘S’ T with size 46 ‘S’ in a

jiffy (albeit with some unspoken, read through lips and felt through twirling of his eyes protest
from Madhu who wondered why I was so woefully inaccurate in choosing my size initially) and

saved the day for me. Due to his kind act, I appeared smarter than I am, my well-fed tummy
neatly hidden in the fall of a larger t-shirt.

I am so thankful to all my friends who came from far and wide to attend the event in such a large
number and made the occasion grand. As you get senior in age and position, the chain of
commitments binding you at home and outside often makes it difficult for one to tread on the
