Coming off the back of a late VJBL Friday night game, it was always going to be a
tough tournament that demanded the U16 Boys 1 play 5 games within 24 hours.
Nether less, they tackled each quality opponent in a stacked Pool one by one in
relatively close games and gave it their all whilst on the court, often only rotated off
the court after succumbing to feeling exhausted.
The U16 Boys 1 won 4 of their 5 games having went down to Geelong Supercats in
a thriller.
Overall, each athlete gave 100%, with some finding new ground and others
identifying opportunity for improvement. The draw was without doubt the toughest
draw our U16 Boys 1 have encountered however they were up to the challenge but
unfortunately lost the opportunity to progress into the Grand Final going down to
Geelong Supercats in what was a thrilling game of basketball.
