SEA AND
BE SEEN
It’s easy to get mouths watering with excellent food photography. But tins of fish — a Portuguese specialty — do so with artful illustrations and great graphic design. The tasty fish inside doesn’t hurt, either.

     THE ULTIMATE
WINE TASTING
Vintners understand that a one-of-a- kind setting elevates an excellent bottle into something truly extraordinary. Take Château La Coste in Aix-en- Provence, France, for instance. The latest addition to this wine estate filled with modern art and architecture is a cantilevered viewing pavilion by Centre Pompidou architect Richard Rogers. The campus also includes standout designs by Renzo Piano, Tadao Ando, Alexander Calder, and Ai Weiwei. As for the wine? Expect rosés as bright as those orange steel bars.
   FIRST-RATE FAST FOOD
As much as we love international fine dining, sometimes, by day six of a long getaway, we’re left craving some good old-fashioned grease. Yes, there’s always McDonald’s. But these foreign fast food chains let you indulge your love of a good burger while still enjoying a taste of local culture. (The only downside: no McFlurries.)
