Securing ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) with Blockchain

The use of IoT devices, especially security cameras, is exposed to significant security threats, such as privacy breaches, data tampering, and remote takeover. The goal of this project is to develop a permissioned, blockchain-based system that will allow users to connect IoT cameras to the network and securely record data. Our system will enable users to connect cameras to the network, view videos, and verify data integrity. The use of “Hyperledger” enables the implementation of decentralized access with role-based access control. The importance of this project stems from the growing need to protect IoT-based systems, especially in industrial areas and private homes. Our proposed solution demonstrates how innovative technologies may be combined to create a secure, reliable, and transparent system.

“ScheduliQ”: A System for Intelligent Shift Management

“ScheduliQ” is an intelligent solution for shift management that enables businesses to plan and handle work schedules efficiently and flexibly. Our goal is to create a fast and straightforward scheduling process, incorporating employee preferences, and organizational needs. This system achieves that end by merging a ‘constraint satisfaction problems’ (CSP) algorithm that evaluates relevant data with an AI component, which interprets free-text requests in a user-friendly manner. It accounts for factors like availability, coverage, and fairness—handling complexities without burdening managers. Consequently, it shortens planning time, minimizes human mistakes, and promotes a balanced work environment. This project’s significance lies in its capacity to improve employee satisfaction, conserve organizational resources, and foster a more transparent relationship between management and staff.
