The “Nisim Korim [miracles happen] Initiative” is a volunteer group that distributes food to needy families. Some volunteers handle operations, while others cook and deliver meals. The organization currently uses WhatsApp and Excel, leading to inefficiencies and data loss. Based on interviews and observations, a new interactive information system was developed. UML diagrams supported the analysis, followed by a user-friendly interface design. Then, this web-based system, with a secure database, integrates all the data, streamlines operations and reduces the workload—enhancing management and enabling future growth.

In our final project, we focused on improving the shipping process in the Smart Industries Division at Siemens Israel. Currently, each customer order is processed separately, leading to inefficiencies, high costs and warehouse overload. We suggested a solution based on optimal packaging that combines all the daily orders from the same customer into one shipment. To support this, we developed an Excel model that analyzes orders based on weight, logistics constraints and shipping rates. We also proposed certain changes to warehouse procedures. The new model and workflow are expected to reduce costs, ease the logistics load and improve customer service.
