Long waiting times in hematology outpatient departments pose a major challenge to service quality and patient satisfaction. The goal of this project is to improve the operational efficiency of the Day Hospital at Sheba Medical Center’s Hematology Department. Data was collected by means of step- tracking apps, observations, staff interviews, and patient surveys. The main bottleneck was found between blood tests and physician consultations. This study explored strategies for reducing waiting times, improving appointment coordination, and implementing solutions, such as patients’ undergoing external blood tests before patient intake. The findings highlight clear links between inefficiencies, staff overload, and reduced patient satisfaction. The proposed solutions are expected to streamline workflows, enhance patient experiences, and reduce strain on the medical staffs.

Many women suffer from weakened pelvic floor muscles due to pregnancy, childbirth, and aging. This can lead to urinary incontinence, discomfort, loss of control, and social embarrassment—affecting their well-being. Our app provides an engaging solution by suggesting exercises designed to strengthen the pelvic floor, thus reducing symptoms. The interface with gamification, humor and motivational elements makes the exercise process enjoyable and effective. We adopted a User Empowered Design (UED) approach, encouraging long-term commitment, to help women take control of their health. This app will help women adapt to physical changes and increase their sense of control and self-confidence. Consequently, it will positively affect women not only during their interaction with the app but also in their everyday life.
