MNS Awarded AT&T Sustainability Award.
“When we are building towers in the Cascade and Olympic Mountain Ranges, maintaining rooftop antennas in downtown Miami, and everything in between, we realize that leaving this world better than we found it is not just something we believe in, but paramount to sustaining the world in which we live,” says Rick Suarez, Group President of MNS (pictured at left). MNS made improvements including establishing policies and performance goals, expanding public reporting and extending policies to upstream suppliers across multiple sustainability areas.
10 Years of Loyalty
Gustavo Reyes (left) was commended for 10 years of service. “He is a hard worker and will go wherever you need him to work,” says Dude Benke, Project Manager. Gustavo works in all capacities including gas, fiber and electric for MasTec’s Utility Services Group (USG).
USG Gives to the Community
“Early this year, the Woodbury, MN, office started a volunteer program allowing an opportunity for the employees to get involved and help give back. Our first event was a blood drive in February. The Red Cross was able to collect 12 pints of blood, which could potentially save 36 lives. In March we held a food drive and our small office of 25 collected almost 1000 pounds of food to give to local food banks! We participated in Relay for Life, collecting almost $1200. In June we volunteered at Feed My Starving Children. Thank you to everyone in the Woodbury office for all the time and effort you have put in to making this program a success.” Submitted by Brandon Leyde, AR Supervisor, USG, Woodbury, MN.
