Dear Fellow Members and Friends of TPA,
Over the past year a select group of members have worked to create a strategic plan to take
TPA to a sustainable future. Reflecting on the work that has been completed and thinking
of the work that still has to be done, it came to mind what we are working towards. The
following passage is an article that could be written about our organization in twenty
years.
An article written in the year 2038
It has been said that things are bigger in Texas. If you spend any amount
of time here you will find truth in these words. Texas football, Texas
sunsets, Texas music, and our Texas hospitality are just a few things that
Texas does bigger than anyone. In our search for this historic cliché,
we have something that is also bigger in Texas and thats law
enforcement.
Tens of thousands of Texas officers serve and protect a state built on
resilience, courage, and rugged individualism. Thats a hard task for
anyone, but as we have found, Texas law enforcement officers do it
different and in our opinion better than their counterparts in other states.
