Quality Assurance and End of Line Production Testing for NVH
This course is for current and future users of the Brüel & Kjær end of line solutions. The discussion will center around Brüel & Kjær recent acquisition of Discom and their ROTAS system. This solution is the platform for establishing an effective QA and end of line testing strategy. Topics will include: Fault types, tools for setting tolerance limits, using advanced statistical tools to evaluate limits, exporting data for further analysis and presentation, data sharing and hosting plus much more.
Objectives
• Introduce attendees to DISCOM solutions and end of line tools
• Discuss the basic principles of an effective end of line NVH program
Prerequisites – None required (Recommended to have Rotating Machinery completed)
Participants – Those that have currently deployed DISCOM or other end of line NVH systems. Those that are interested in setting up an end of line NVH program.
Material Testing – Getting The Best Material Testing Results
This 1⁄2 day course will provide an introduction to practical material acoustic testing. Topics will include: an overview of the various material tests including impedance tube absorption, transmission loss, reverberation room absorption, transmission loss, and beam damping tests. Special emphasis will be placed on sample preparation, interpretation of results, and using the results to make real world decisions to improve material performance.
Objectives
• Understand the application of data collected from material testing system
• Provide next step knowledge in setting up an effective material testing program
• Review ALL the different types of material testing data and methods.
Prerequisites – Material Testing class
Participants – Those that have issues in current programs, looking to drive deeper into understanding results and new to material testing overall.
