MIXSTIR® CHEMICAL DELIVERY SYSTEM
Examples of Settings
Example 1:
John selected the orange tip to run a chemical dilution of 64:1 but now wants to check if this is
accurate. He sets up and runs the Chemical Dilution Ratio procedure that finds the following results.
• John used 15 mL of presoak chemical from his small measuring container.
• John filled his large measuring container to the 975 mL mark.
The following calculations were used.
(975 mL – 15 mL) / 15 mL = 64 therefore he has a dilution ratio of 64 : 1
Example 2:
John wants to know what GPM the pump is achieving with his system so he fills the large container
to the 2000 mL mark and starts the test. He found the following;
• John only had to run the pump for 6 sec to draw most of the solution
• In those 6 sec the pump drew 1476 mL of solution.
The following calculations were used.
(60 sec / 6 sec) X 1476 mL = 14763 mL = 3.9 Gallons
Now John’s system will operate at 3.9 GPM
John knows that the system only uses this feature for 5 sec per vehicle and he wants to know how
much chemical is used so he can have a rough idea of when he will need to order more.
The following equation will determine how he figured it out.
(5 sec / 60 sec) X 3.9 GPM) / (64 + 1) = 0.005 Gal of Chemical or 0.64 oz.
