Chapter 6 Sudzer® FM Maintenance

Trouble Shooting

Problem Cause Solution
Chemical Delivery:  Clogged foot valve on suction  Clean or replace foot valve
No chemical line  Fill storage tank
 Empty storage tank
 Prime chemical pump
 Chemical pump has lost
prime  Check for proper operating voltage
 Solenoid valve not energized
Chemical Delivery:  Nozzles clogged  Verify Spray Nozzles are pointing downward and
Pulsating or  Dirt in solenoid valve toward the center finger of the Tri Nozzles
Weak Spray  Remove Bayonet Nozzle from Tri Nozzle and
 Kink in hose clean with thin wire
 Inadequate water pressure
 Remove Bayonet Nozzle from Tri Nozzle, verify
arrow on check vavle is pointing toward the
spray nozzle
 Disassemble Bayonet Nozzle clean components
and reassemble with pipe dope
 Disassemble and clean solenoid valve
 Remove any kinks from hose
 Open water valve to fullest
 Call Distributor for advice on installing booster
pump
Wall Washers:  Incorrect wire connections  Check electrical connections at Wall Washer
Not Turning On  Controller Program and Air Plenum
 Verify wire connections in 24vdc Power Pupply
Enclosure
 Check Main power coming into the 24vdc Power
Supply Enclosure
 Verify that the Controller has been programmed
properly
Wall Washers:  Controller Program  Verify that the Controller has been programmed
Not Turning Off properly

Wall Washers:  Not adjusted when installed  Manually rotate Wall Washers on Pivot Brackets
Incorrect Position to direct light onto bubbles and vehicle

LED in Nozzles:  No power  Check the wiring in the 24VDC Power Enclosure
Not Lit  Incorrect wire connections  Check the electrical connections betweent the
Main Power cable and Wire Harness
 Controller Program
 Check to make sure the wire connections are
correct betweent the Wire Harness and the LED
Assembly in the Nozzle
 Verify that the Controller has been programmed
properly
LED in Nozzles:  Incorrect wire connections  Check to make sure the wire connections are
Not Turning Off  Controller Program correct in the 24VDC Power Enclosure
 Verify that the Controller has been programmed
properly
