Chapter 6 Faults and Alarms
Alarm Summaries
ARM RESISTANCE DETECTION
This alarm occurs when Final Arm Home was completed by the timer instead of the Home Prox.
CHECK THERMOSTAT
This alarm occurs when the heater output has been blocked from staying on because it has been on for longer
than 45 minutes.
CHECK ARM PROX
This alarm occurs when the arm is slowed down because its position remains at ZERO for too long after the
arm has started moving. The position will increase from ZERO with any change of input status from the Arm
Encoder Prox.
BREAKAWAY FROM JAM PREVENTION
This alarm occurs if the machine has gone into the Breakaway condition because a Butterfly Jam was about to
occur. This alarm occurs in order to verify if either arm is being jammed because it is pressed against a vehicle
but the arm did not break away. This “pseudo” break away can only occur once per vehicle.
EXCESSIVE POSITION CORRECTION
This alarm occurs when the Position Resets to ZERO at the Exit Limit but the Carriage Position Error at the
time of correction was 30 or greater.
