GCSE Geography
Geography is an exciting and relevant course which looks at both physical and
human themes, and investigates the link between them.
Students will travel the world from their classroom, exploring case studies in
the United Kingdom (UK), higher-income countries (HICs), newly emerging
economies (NEEs) and lower-income countries (LICs).
Topics of study include climate change, poverty, deprivation, global shifts in
economic power and the challenge of sustainable resource use. Students will

“GCSE Geography has
really opened my eyes
about the wider world.
Not just the physical
planet, but about my
place in it and how
I interact with my
environment. I’ve been
on trips to Iceland and
Portsmouth. Geography
has made me think
about how we inhabit
earth and what our
responsibilities are to it.
It’s a relatable science
that feels like it actually
applies to my day-to-day
and that’s why I love it.”
