Examination Hall Rules/Etiquette
All examination candidates must be aware of the following:
You MUST
Arrive at the exam hall 10 minutes prior to the start of your examination.
Queue up outside the examination hall quietly, in order of timetabled place.
Follow the invigilators instructions at all times, without question – ask them for help if you need it, as they are there to support the examination – they cannot help you answer the questions though.
Have all the correct equipment with you for the examination (see list on next page).
Be wearing full school uniform for every examination, no winter coats or jackets are
permitted
Read all the instructions on the front of each examination paper, as each one is different.
Remove any labels on water bottles that you take with you into the examination hall.
You MUST NOT
Talk or communicate with anyone once you have entered the examination hall, even
when trying to find your desk, or leaving the examination hall.
Take any revision notes into the examination hall with you.
Have your mobile phone, smart device or headphones with you – these should be locked in your locker, or left in your boarding room.
Draw anything in the margins or on any unused additional pages of your paper.
Wear a wrist watch of any sort. You will be asked to remove it and place it on your
desk.
By failing to comply with any of the above, you risk being removed from the examination hall, you risk your examination being withdrawn and you risk being withdrawn from all examinations.
A full copy of the ‘information to candidates’ is printed at the end of this booklet.
