leadership position in the Century Campaign, I did not hesitate. Upon reflection, I realize that being the chapter’s president for a year helped
set the stage for being the president of an engineering firm all these years later. I remember my time in the house fondly, but even more than
30 years ago, it was past its useful life and taking care of it was a chore. Oddly enough, the summer before Moe called, my son and I took
a cross-country trip from San Francisco to Annapolis for his third year there. We detoured through Atlanta to see one of my brothers and
stopped in front of the House. After looking at the competition and sizing up the House, he said, ‘You need a new house.’”
