Crafting Comfort for Our Animals in Cold Weather

Winter is the perfect time to bundle up,
bury yourself under a pile of blankets,
and sip slowly on a warm drink. Habits
like these can make even the bleakest days
seem almost cozy. But what about the
animals of Chicagoland? How did they
make it through this year’s frigid winter?
Animals have incredible natural
adaptations that help them get through
the harshest conditions unscathed. But we
believe it doesn’t hurt to give them a bit
of help. Here at Brookfield Zoo, we are
committed to ensuring that all of the
animals receive top-notch care during
the winter months (as well as the rest of
the year, of course).
