About the author
Alys Longley is a performance maker, researcher and teacher. Her interests include practice-led research, interdisciplinary projects, ethnography, narrative research, somatic practices, ecology
and inclusive dance education. Her recent work Radio Strainer exists through choreography, film, installation and book forms, with the discipline of translation studies a conceptual research pivot. Alys is a Senior Lecturer in Dance Studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand. She has recently published her work in Qualitative Inquiry; Emotion, Space Society; Studies in Symbolic Interaction; Dance Research Aotearoa and Writings on Dance.
