On The Road Home
MORE THAN CONQUERORS SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free... John 8:32 “If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Jesus
“Before we pray that God would fill us, I believe we ought to pray Him to empty
us.” – D.L. Moody
“If you do not plan to live the Christian life totally com- mitted to knowing your God and to walking in obedience to Him, then don’t begin,
for this is what Christianity is all about. It is a change
of citizenship, a change of governments, a change of allegiance. If you have no in- tention of letting Christ rule your life, then forget Christi- anity; it is not for you. “
– Kay Arthur
“A life totally committed to God has nothing to fear, nothing to lose. nothing to regret.”
– Pandita Ramabai
Worldly pleasure such as flow from greatness, riches, honours, and sensual grati- fications, are infinitely worse than none

Are you a fellow-trave- ler “on the road home” my friend? Are you too a citizen of Heaven? Are you merely a stranger and a pilgrim pass- ing through this old world of sin and woe? Then...
these lines are penned by a fellow-traveler for you my brother or sister who are also traveling “on the road home.”
This new publication is not just for any traveler, but to my fellow-travelers who
aspire to go beyond the veil and surrender all and forsake all to follow Jesus Christ.
It’s true! We haven’t al- ways lived our lives “on the road home.” We all started our earthly journey traveling down the wrong road, the broad road... that was leading us to eternal destruction.
I used to think of this like a crossroad... where we had to make a decision of which road to take. But, that wasn’t the case at all. We were all
WELCOME FELLOW TRAVELERS
automatically placed on the broad road when we were conceived in sin and iniq- uity.
Jesus carefully instructed us to leave the broad road we had been traveling on and “enter in at the straight gate,” which would put us “on the road home,” the only road that will lead us to Heaven.
In order to change direc- tions and travel up the road home, we had to exit from the broad road we had been traveling on that was leading us down to hell.
Oh... what a glorious bless- ing it was to leave behind the sin and misery, heartache and sorrow... we had been expe- riencing on the broad road! What utter joy... what inde- scribable peace... what lasting fulfilment... what tremendous exhilaration... we experienced when we took our first step “on the road home”!
No... we certainly didn’t
to be born again.
In doing so, all the old re-
cords and stains of our past are erased. It is no longer acceptable as evidence before the Father and His judg- ments. We begin anew.
It is only in Christ that this great salvation can be obtained.
Neither is there salva- tion in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
And again...
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12)
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Ro- mans 10:9)
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world: but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17)
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:16)
Jesus came to establish forgiveness for the sins of the world. Forgiveness of sin can only be accomplished through Jesus.
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and
believe this, don’t you? Secondly: God communi-
cates with man.
The Bible is the inspired
written record of God’s com- munication to man. In other religions, we see man’s quest for a god. In Christianity, we see God’s quest for man. The Bible was not written from man’s attempt to find God, but God’s attempt to find man.
As we read the Bible, we see a picture of God reaching down to man. Now that’s different than the religions of the world.
Our Bible details the many ways in which God has spoken to man in times past, and the responses of individuals and nations to the voice of God.
For thousands of years, there have been men and women who have walked our earth who have communicat- ed with God. The first one to learn about this was one of our

know all about it or what to expect, but we soon realized that “the road home” was far beyond and above any of our anticipations! This was certainly the best decision we had ever made since we uttered our first cry at our arrival on earth!
Oh! How our lives had been filled with such despair! How heavy the burden of sin was that we were carrying
as we wearily trudged down that broad road! I shudder
to think where I would be now... if I had not left that road and chose the straight gate and the narrow road home.
No, traveling “on the road home” isn’t easy, but the good news is, Jesus
is always faithful... He is always there for us. Though at times we may feel like we’re walking alone... His presence is always there to sustain us.
saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world. (John 1:29)
This is a faithful saying, and worth of all accepta- tion, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sin- ners; of whom I am chief.
(I Timothy 1:15)
Jesus bore our punish- ment and died in our place. We were all sentenced to
everlasting punishment and spiritual bondage in this life. Jesus paid it all!
Jesus took our place, received the torture and punishment, that we might have eternal life.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commen- deth his love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6-8)
Who His own self bare our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, be- ing dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by Whose stripes ye were healed. (I Peter 2:24)
Jesus poured out his life’s blood that we might be washed clean of every mark of sin.
And almost all things are by the law purged with

distant relatives by the name of Adam.
What a wonder it must have been as Adam paused at the close of each day. No pol- lution in the atmosphere. But, at that time of the day, some- thing of far greater significance was about to take place. What happened every evening in the garden of Eden at the cool of the day? It was time for Adam to commune with God.
Adam must have thought “Oh, He’ll soon be here. He is coming. He’s getting closer. Oh, catch the whiff of that, it’s the sweet Rose of Sharon. He’s ascended to the mountain tops. Now, He’s down in the valley. Smell the fragrance of the Lily of the Valley.
“Oh, the sound of His foot- steps as He walks through the garden. Can you hear Him? He sounds like the Lion out of the tribe of Judah!”

   STEP 1 WE MUST BE
as your Lord and Savior, you can be confident that Jesus has confessed your name before His Father in heaven.
According to God’s Word, we are told that we must be born again. Now the question is, how are we born again? What must we do to be saved? How do we gain this “new birth”?
To Nicodemus, Jesus said, “You must be born
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? (John 3:3-4)
Jesus continued......
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is con- demned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. (John 3:18)
As Jesus expounded these truths to Nicodemus, Nicodemus finally under- stood how you can be old, and yet be born again. We too, several thousand years later, have the opportunity
he called a person who says there is no God “a fool.” Why? Because the Word is telling us that even the invisible things of God, from the time of creation, are clearly seen.
How is it possible that the invisible things can be seen? Because the spiritual things of God, even His eternal power and Godhead, can be under- stood by God’s visible creation that we see all around us.
God is not trying to hide from us. In fact, I believe it pleases Him greatly that you are reading this book, so you can learn to know His voice, so you can better follow His will and direction for your life.
Everything in this book is based upon the truth that God desires for us to know Him intimately.
One of the ways He has chosen to reveal Himself to us is through the written record of His Word, the Holy Bible. I
BORN AGAIN
Regardless whether you are a Catholic, Protestant or ?, you do not want to miss this study straight from God’s Word.
I hope there is no one reading these lines who false- ly believes that any church or denomination or religion or good works is going to save them. Satan has deceived many of the people who attend churches into thinking they are alright just because their parents and family are faithful in going to church.
If, deep down in your heart you know you have been born again and have
a daily personal relation- ship with Jesus Christ, then you are confident that Jesus Christ has accepted you into his fold and placed your feet on the road home.
If you have confessed your sins to the Lord and then publicly confessed Jesus
in King David’s generation, there must have been people around who didn’t believe there was a God. David stat- ed in Psalm 53:1 that The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God.
That’s interesting, isn’t it? There are people today who think that believing there is no God is something new. This false thought is really quite old, isn’t it?
When King David said “The fool hath said,” David is quick to identify who would believe such a fallacy.
For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: (Ro- mans 1:20)
This Scripture reads “they are without excuse,” confirm- ing what David said when
again.”
    DISTINGUISH- ING GOD’S
VOICE
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: (John 10:27)
As you take your first steps on the road home, it is vital that you know the voice of your Shepherd Jesus Christ
Regardless of the cost, we must know the voice of God. In order to understand this
better, let’s lay down some spiritual principles:
First: There is a God.Even
