Sick and Safe Time
Full-time, Part-time, temporary and seasonal staff are eligible for Sick and Safe Time. Sick and Safe Time is accrued starting with the employees hire date or the effective date of this policy whichever is later.
Sick and Safe Time accruals are available for use following completion of 90 days of employment. Sick and Safe Time is earned and redeemed in whole hour increment only. All hours thereafter are available for use in the pay period following the pay period in which they are accrued.
Accruals are based upon paid hours worked per year. Sick and Safe Time hours are earned on a prorated basis, according to the accrual rate per hour (see table below). Sick and Safe Time does not accrue on unpaid leaves of absence.

Employees are required to use available Sick and Safe Time when taking time off from work due to absences
