Bereavement Leave
Full-time Team Members are eligible immediately upon hire for one-half paid day for the death of an immediate family member. Members of the immediate family include spouses, domestic partners, parents, brothers, sisters, children, children of domestic partners, grandchildren, grandparents, parents-in-law, and parents of domestic partners.
Exempt Team Members may be provided time off with pay when necessary to comply with state and federal wage and hour laws.
Requests for bereavement leave should be made to the Program Director as soon as possible. Our organization reserves the right to request written verification of a Team Member's familial relationship to the deceased and his or her attendance at the funeral service as a condition of the bereavement pay.
