Chevrolet Performance LSX Bowtie Block
Chevrolet Performance LSX Bowtie Block is an iron block casting based primarily on GM's pro-
duction LS7 block with more material in key areas. It offers a thicker deck and bores to support
displacements up to 454 CID and a unique six-bolt-per-cylinder head-clamping capability for
forced induction and nitrous greater than 2,000 HP. The LSX Bowtie block accepts all LS Series
Gen IV cylinder heads, crankshafts, oil pans, camshafts, and accessories. Block Specs: 3.88" finished Siamese cylinder bores (maximum 4.200" bore at 0.200" min. wall thickness), 9.260" semi-finished deck height (can be machined to 9.200"), 4.250" maximum stroke, 0.842" standard lifter bores, 6 head bolts per cylinder, true priority main oiling, 4.400" bore spac- ing, extra-thick Siamese cylinder bores, LS7-style, 6-bolt dowel-located billet main bearing caps, wet and dry sump oiling capacity, front motor plate mounting holes added, unique cam retainer, rear cover and lifter retainers, main web bay-to-bay breathing holes, and finished in a orange powder coat.

LS Series blocks successfully merge pushrod technology with the modern LS family of cylinder heads. LS aluminum blocks are beefy enough for 550 horsepower and the LSX cast iron block is strengthened in every way possible and can handle over 1500 horsepower.

Dart LS Next Cast Iron or Aluminum Engine Blocks
Fully redesigned blocks combine the benefits of improved lubrication, increased durability and added versatility. Offered in aluminum or cast iron, blocks use conventional 4-bolt main caps and oil pans, while eliminating the problems associated with the separated crankcase bays. Redesign provides significantly stronger main webs, while allowing the cylinder barrels to be extended .375" into the crankcase for added piston support. Blocks are fully compatible with all stock and aftermar- ket LS components, and the stock oil pan may be used with Moroso oil pan spacers.
