Collective Prayer
Please say a prayer to cease this malevolent upheaval, this increasing uprising of wicked, pure evil.
Too many widows,
too many families in sorrow. Today’s unthinkable violence seems to get worse tomorrow.
Together let us build a collective prayer to end the progression of recurrent despair,
to comfort the grieving, to return faith and pride, to inject what is just into the unjustified,
to unite once again what has fallen apart in the center of each rogue, venomous heart,
to let love and mercy repair the holes
in the unraveled threads of troubled souls,
to reverse the hatred
in every evildoer’s wrath and toward righteousness,
reroute their path.
