Everyday Things
Some folks, they love shiny cars, and some love diamond rings. But what I love is easily found in common, everyday things!
I love to watch a perfect stranger stop to help someone in need.
I love to see the vibrant blooms from what was once a pallid seed.
I love knowing that my yesterdays will not dictate my tomorrows and that happiness, given time, will trade places with my sorrows.
I love to watch my neighbor’s tree boast wondrous, golden hues.
I love chubby little baby feet
in chubby baby shoes.
I love that I learned to slow my pace before it was too late because impatience only taught me how to hurry up and wait.
I love the feeling of the sun’s rays as they gently warm my skin.
I love when a butterfly cocoon sets free what lies within.
I love that faithful birds will sing, well before dawn’s early light. I love to lay my weary head on a cool pillow every night.
When you are seeking contentment and the joy that life brings, you can always find them
in the everyday things.
