Revit Introduction

                  Revit Introduction

Before the design in Revit is started, it is important to understand how the program handles
information. Any building project includes a complete description of the actual model building as
well as all the information needed to display the model in both 2D, 3D and schematic form. This
information is stored in a single database in a file.

                  Views

Views are descriptive way a building model can be seen in.
Here are some examples of Views:
                         3D Views

                         2D Views
                         o Plan Views

                         o Section Views
                         o Elevation Views

                         Schedules

It is possible to customize these Views individually as well as to create new ones, as the project
progresses. It is only possible to have one View active at a time, however, it is possible to see
many Views at once – and it is possible to switch between the two Views in the middle of an
operation. Common to all these Views is that they all "look" in the same database and that they
simply are different ways to view the same construction model. In addition, any correction in
building model is updated on all these Views automatically.
