ONE NIGHT
One night I was alone, at my home with my elder sister
sleeping in her room. I heard someone walking down
the stairs. I wanted to be brave so I was ready with the
broom. With a torch in my hand , I carried a very useful
weapon which is a fistful of sand so that I could throw it
in the intruder’s eye. He run away from my house
without stealing my anything.
while walking up the stairs ,I wondered whether the
intruder was black, sturdy and tall .When I walked
through the hall, I saw a tall shadow .When I reached
the kitchen I saw my sister standing and drinking water.
Now I realized that the person was no one but my
sister.
At first I thought of beating her with a broom but
before doing so, I checked my sister’s room, which was
empty. I ran down and asked her why she was
standing in the kitchen, eating a juicy toasted chicken.
She told me that she was hungry. I told her the whole
story and she started laughing at me like a witch.
The intruder was neither a ghost nor a witch. We
celebrated the discovery with a sandwich.
