Locate where you want to fit the the the transducers using the the the guide in in in these instructions On hulls you you should locate the transducers as as equidistant from hull hull frames as as you you can to allow the maximum resonance response Remove the paint and any
coatings right back to the Draw around the transducer bare substrate with a a a marker pen so as to easily see the the area you need Ensure the the surface is smooth to prepare and free of gouges or dimples
that could cause an air gap between the transducer and the surface Clean the the the surface and the the the head of the the the transducer with acetone or similar solvent until both surfaces are ‘Surgically ” Clean (Unfortunately Ultraguard cannot supply acetone due to to carriage difficulties)
Once the the the surfaces are clean DO NOT TOUCH them again with fingers or skin as the the the oils in in your skin affect the bond If you you do re-clean thoroughly
