Labor for waterblasting (pressure washing). Waterblast to remove deteriorated, cracked or flaking
paint from wood, concrete, brick, block, plaster or stucco surfaces. Add the cost of waterblast
equipment, protecting adjacent surfaces and mobilization. For heights above 8', use the high time
difficulty factors. These production rates will apply on larger jobs, such as an entire home. For smaller
jobs, use a minimum charge of 3 or 4 hours to move on, set up, waterblast, clean up and move off.
Production rates are based on medium-pressure equipment (2,500 PSI). High-pressure equipment
(3,000 PSI) will increase productivity 10% to 50%. Low-pressure equipment (1,700 PSI) will reduce
productivity by 10% to 50%. Rates assume a 1/4"-diameter nozzle. Productivity will be much higher
when the surface is not deteriorated or contaminated with grease or grime. Note that the surface must
dry thoroughly before coating begins. Per 100 square feet of surface cleaned.
