An under utilized social space with a
barista deli bar which monetarily
could not justify remaining in that
format.
The Scientific community
complained that it was cold, noisy
and with nowhere for informal
meetings to take place.
I worked with the relevant engineers
to get the heating balanced and
then transformed the space with the
use of soft furnishings and acoustic
panels to help absorb some of the
noise.
The existing deli unit was re-
purposed into a self--serve tea point
with coffee vend unit.
