Cindy Rhoads Announces Retirement





          After 36 years of dedicated service to the company, Cindy Rhoads is retiring from her current position as
 Company anniversaries are shown in 5-year increments,   Customer Service Manager, effective July 31, 2017. Cindy began her career with The Vernon Company in
 up to 40 years.
 After 40 years, anniversaries are shown each additional year.  1978 as a part-time Order Auditor. She became full-time when she joined the Customer Service Department
          in June of 1981 as a Customer Serive Correspondent and was promoted to Customer Service Assistant
          Manager in 1988. She has been in her current position since March of 2001.

          "The Vernon Company is a great place to work, and the people are fantastic! While Vernon has been my
          second home for over 36 years, I am really looking forward to more leisure time for myself and for my
          family," stated Cindy.

          As a result of Cindy's retirement, Janie Hills has been promoted to Customer Service Manager, effective August 1, 2017. Janie
          began her career with The Vernon Company in September of 1978 as a temporary Order Auditor. She transferred to the
          Customer Service Department in March of 1992 as a Correspondent and became the Customer Service Supervisor in March of
          2001.


          With Janie's promotion, the vacant Customer Service Supervisor position was filled by Stephanie Conklin, effective July 10,
          2017. Steph began her career with The Vernon Company as a Look-Up Clerk and Switchboard Operator, in February of 1977.
          She joined the Customer Service Department in May of 1978.

                                   Did you know that every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood?

                                   Although an estimated 38% of the U.S. population is eligible to donate blood at any given
                                   time, less than 10% of the eligible population actually do donate each year. A single blood
                                   donation can potentially help more than one person, and the actual blood donation
                                   process typically only takes about 10-12 minutes.


                                   The Vernon Company is sponsoring a Bloodmobile on Thursday, August 24th from 7:30-
                                   11:30am. If you are interested in donating blood, please contact Heather Van Dusseldorp,
                                   at HeatherHR@vernoncompany.com, by Friday, August 11th. Please indicate whether you
                                   would like to donate Whole Blood or Double Red Cells.


                                   Whole Blood Donors: Donors must be 16 years (with parental consent) or older and weigh
                                   at least 120 lbs.
         Double Red Cell Donors: Male donors must be 16 years (with parental consent) or older, weigh at least 130 lbs and be
         at least 5'1'' tall. Female donors must be 23 years or older, weigh at least 150 lbs and be at least 5'3" tall.

         General Eligibility Requirements:
         All donors should be in overall good health and are encouraged to be rested and well-nourished at the time of
         donation.

         Prior to donation, all potential donors must register with LifeServe Blood center and provide a form of identification
         printed with their name (e.g., driver's license, social security card, credit card, etc.)
