Communication English
Aims: To encourage students to close read, explore language, think critically and write in an
appropriate style to reflect their knowledge and understanding. Students will also be
encouraged to develop communication skills, speak confidently and think critically about
written, oral and visual texts. This course will prepare students for either university OR
alternate pathways.
Competencies: Reading; Writing; Speaking; Listening; Presenting; Viewing; Processing.
Pathways this course contributes towards: This course will cater to students who wish to
gain University Entrance and to those students who want to develop their communication
skills for employment and apprenticeships.
