Mathematics Internal
Aims: To develop basic mathematical skills and applications for use in the workforce and
everyday life.
Competencies: Numeracy; Problem Solving; Communication (written and oral); Information
Processing Skills.
Pathways this course contributes towards: Possible entry to the Year 12 “Mathematics
with” course.
Other essential information: This course is designed for those students who have found
Year 10 Mathematics challenging. The Head of the Mathematics faculty will advise which
students are best suited to this course. This course provides an opportunity for Level One
Numeracy credits. A scientific calculator eg Casio fx-82BU is required for this course
