Denying them rights, opportunities, and resources
What is it, can anybody guess?
Yes, it is gender inequality a social phenomenon,

Sprouting from the roots of patriarchal societies
A hindrance in this progressive era
Preventing emancipation of women
Creating gender stereotypes
Shouldn’t we at least ponder upon the fact,
That expecting them to be submissive and home oriented,
is curbing their talents?

Creating interpersonal conflicts
Hindering the social economic progress
Sidelining more than half of the world’s talent
Affecting everybody from a young age
Their behavior, study choices and ambitions
Gender inequality isn’t a female fight it’s a human fight,

She lives with handcuffs,
Thinking it’s her skin, her body,
Which is at fault, No but that’s not true,
Gender doesn’t make you who you are because,
Men and women might have different roles,
WORDS 2020 -21 Let’s all take a pledge to eradicate this evil, WORDS 2020 -21
But their rights are equal,

Let’s all take a pledge to support them,
Let’s all take a pledge to stand with them,
Reject the chauvinistic attitudes in the society,
