GAMA Healthcare Ltd
GAMA HEALTHCARE is an infection control specialist company founded by two medical doctors with a long-standing interest in microbiology and infection control. From
small beginnings in 2004, GAMA has grown to become the largest supplier of wet wipes to the NHS as well as exporting to over 60 countries.
The company began with the launch of the ‘Universal’ disinfectant wipe. This innovative patented product filled a gap in the market left by the traditional two-step approach (clean, then disinfect), and was proven to
be highly effective against a wide range
of microorganisms. Universal disinfectant wipes provided a reliable, easy-to-use
solution that saved valuable time for busy healthcare staff. The Clinell Sporicidal Wipe soon followed, to replace chlorine as a high- level disinfectant. This patented wipe is still to this day the most powerful disinfectant wipe in the world.
GAMA’s aim is to reduce healthcare/
hospital acquired infections worldwide.
We offer innovative, effective solutions and
make our products even more attractive by complementing them with comprehensive educational support. Our industry-leading unique training offers the most accessible and up to
date guide to environmental cleaning available which is delivered by GAMA’s own experienced infection control nurse training team.
“We are delighted to receive this prestigious award, which is testament to the hard work of the entire GAMA team and the strong international demand for GAMA’s market-leading offering.” Dr Guy Braverman, founding partner.
The company is committed to Research
and Development; the laboratory facility is permanently engaged in discovering and developing new products, as well as improving existing offerings. GAMA is currently building a new state of the art £3.5 million R&D facility in West Yorkshire. This will ensure the company can carry on innovating; creating new effective

products within the infection control sector to ensure that GAMA Healthcare remains at the cutting edge of healthcare improvements.
The current product portfolio can be classified into surface environmental wipes, patient wipes, capital equipment and training/support services. GAMA is currently working on over 50 new products and is engaged in multiple research projects in conjunction with several UK university institutions.
GAMA has offices in 3 countries and employs more than 140 people (over 90 in the UK, 40 in China and 12 in Australia), has been exporting since 2006 and during that time has seen a 545% rise in turnover in international markets over the past 5 years.
As expected from a company founded by doctors, science is at the heart of the enterprise, the products are supported by the latest
clinical evidence and are rigorously tested. The clinical directors attend and present regularly at the most prestigious infection control and
microbiology conferences around the world. GAMA’s success is from a combination of high
quality products, published scientific data, cost effectiveness all combined with an extensive after sales support package. This award reinforces our faith in the company’s core principles and will spur on even greater achievements in the future.
“GAMA is now one of the leading suppliers
of infection control solutions to the NHS, but increasingly its products are bought in Europe, Asia and the Middle East. We’re proud to be flying the flag internationally for British expertise and innovation, and are grateful to the Queen’s Awards for their recognition of that success.” Dr Allen Hanouka, founding partner.
