CANON EOS 6D MARK II

Every once in a while it’s important to
reconnect with your sensitive side. When
it comes to Canon’s 6D DSLR, a mini-break
was long overdue. Now it’s been to the spa,
had a good scrub and come back with
a shiny new sensor. Among other
refinements, including speedier autofocus
and a flip-out LCD screen, the 26.2MP
sensor does low light like a master of
the night. The added real estate of its
full-frame tech means more space for
bigger pixels, so it sucks up lots of light
even at fast shutter speeds. There’s
plenty of grunt around that sensitive
interior too: a revamped, weather-sealed
body should make it a gift for jungle
snappers, while a 45-point dual-pixel
autofocus setup is both ultra-fast and
accurate. Clock its sort-of-entry-level
price tag and you’ll soon forget that there’s
no 4K video on board.
