YOURS TRULY | Q1 2018

               HIT ENTER

o, 2017 has been a bit of a roller coaster, huh? P&G’s brave calls, tech giants’ controversies, big moves (accounts and
Speople) and of course, the socio-political climate in the region. It really is nothing new, is it? There have always been po-
             litical, account, and brand wars.
What is new, however, is the degree, intensit,y extent... whatever you’d like to call it, of these wars. There have been drastic
measures taken by all kinds of entities. And as surprising or tragic they may seem to some, they make sense. It’s why Com-
municate is now going from a monthly to quarterly. It has been a hard decision (because who doesn’t like monthly deadlines)
but it’s been a long time coming.

We hope that this move will allow us (and our readers) to appreciate our quarterly editions more as they become more insight-
ful and informative; while our online channels serve up-to-date news, information and trends.

We’re starting our first issue with, amongst other things, three topics that have been discussed throughout 2017: what brands
and agencies can expect to see this year (page 6), a potentially new model for the agency of the future (page 12) and what
will happen to brands and publishers with Facebook’s new newsfeed model (page 14).

             Yours truly,
