t was a fun day out for the whole family as
Amdavadi were once again treated to a
spectacular dog show on Sunday, January 7. The
wonderfully sunny day brought out record number
Iof dogs and their owners. With so much to keep
everyone entertained, there was never a dull moment!
“Dog shows are an exciting way to meet other dog
owners, to socialise your pet, and to test his or her
abilities if you choose to enter a competitive event,”
said Dr Lochen Kharawala of Ahmedabad Kennel
Club and President of the Indian National Kennel Club.
“They also present a great opportunity to get up-to-
date information on caring and training for dogs.”
Every year, the Ahmedabad Kennel Club organizes
the Indian National Kennel Club Championship Dog
Shows in Ahmedabad. As with each year, this year,
too, the dog show attracted 200 participants from
all over India and thousands of spectators. Many
cat lovers brought their cats to the show too! The
AKC had arranged for free deworming and spot-on
treatment for dogs and cats. Overall, it was an event
immensely enjoyed by pets and pet lovers alike.
