Selecting the right venue
Being that every city is different, with different commuting expectations, and different willingness from Realtors to travel (I’ve had Realtors drive over 2 hours to come to some of my events)...I’m just going to share simple pointers in helping you determine location.
You want a location that is easy to find, centrally located for the majority of the Realtors you’re targeting, and with easy parking accessibility (ideally free parking).
I’ve done events at hotel conference rooms, restaurants with private rooms, bars with our own section, conference room at associations, title companies and many more.
All of these places worked well because they were easy to find, centrally located, and free, easy parking.
For room size you don’t want it too big where it feels empty and you don’t want it cramped. In my opinion having enough Realtors to fill the room 3⁄4 full is nice and comfortable.
