    Selecting the right topic
The biggest mistake a loan officer can make when selecting a topic is picking something that simply shares information. Some common examples I see done wrong would be “All About Appraisals,” “Understand VA Loans,” “Renovation Financing.”
Those aren’t bad topics, and a Realtor should know them, but unless they’re positioned in a way that brings VALUE to a Realtor (i.e. Helps them sell more homes)...Realtors won’t be excited to attend, especially solid producing Realtors.
Over the last several years I came to realize that most agents really care and get excited about 2 things: closing more deals and getting more time back in their lives. Because of that, every topic you choose needs to be positioned in some way on how it will help the Realtor either Close More Deals or Get More Time Back In Their Lives.
