 Selecting the right topic
And not only does your topic need to be framed and positioned on how it will help the Realtor accomplish one or both of those things they care about...you need to make sure it’s a topic that you’re able to position YOURSELF as the authority on.
There’s not a lot of benefit to putting on a live event (which takes time and effort) with a topic that most loan officers can provide/teach on/excel at. The more you can position yourself as the authority, the more the Realtor HAS to work with you to achieve the benefit of the topic you’re presenting.
Let me give you real examples on how this works in my business and when I do live events. Almost 4 years ago, in order to differentiate myself from other loan officers in my market, I started creating and investing in tools, softwares and marketing campaigns that would help Realtors close more deals and get more time back in their lives.
