Iron Tails Saloon
Starting from the Weirs traffic circle, go up the hill on Route 11 B follow, to the stop light (Patricks Pub and NH Liquor Store, on the right) take a left on to Route 11 to Alton. Once in Alton (New restaurant at the blinking light Fosters Tavern), bear left at the blinking light and after you go over the bridge bear, left again onto Route 28A. Follow the road to the stop sign and take a left to Route 28 N. Wolfeboro Hwy. Continue on Route 28 N to Wolfeboro (don’t go into town), take a right at the gas station on Center Street and continue on a couple of miles to pick up Route 109S. This is, a excellent road with plenty of curves, winding roads and views of some small lakes. Follow Route 109 S and cross over Route 16 and continue on Route 109 S. Turn right on to route 153. You will see Poor People’s Pub across the way. Which is also a great place to stop. Once on Route 153, travel a short distance, then turn left on to Route 109 again, enjoying all the turns, curves and lake views to Iron Tales Saloon on right side of the road.
On the Return trip, take a right out of Iron Tales Saloon, stay on Route 109. Then take a right onto Route 202, and follow it to Rochester NH, Route 11 to Alton Bay and continue on Route 11 take a right at the lights to Route 11 B back to Weirs Beach.

his article consists of a few places you can go at any time of the season and during “Bike Week 2022”. These rides will have what bikers want, such as plenty of
scenic views of mountains, lakes, rivers, and winding, curvy roads (lean into the curves and turns). There are plenty of restaurants and places to get a cold beverage along the way. Also, giving you all the routes to and from your destination with approximate times of the rides. This does not include stops, lunches, cold beverages, and places of interest, so plan your ride accordingly. So with this all said, hop on your bike. Start your engine and begin your ride to one of these destinations.
