Founder of the KOP, Ron Boucher talks to the players about their reason for playing which many of them already know. A portion of the proceeds taken in from the Series goes to support the “David’s House” at Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth, CHaD. It is a home away from home for families that have children who are being treated at CHaD. On this particular day, the KOP had a guest speaker from David’s House, Todd Gordon who is the “Guest and Community Relations Manager”. Todd gave a short talk about what David’s House is all about and thank the Players and Sponsors for their continued support. After Todd was done speaking, Ron went on to announce this session’s award recipients which you can find on the results page.
Many prizes are also given away during the weekend, like snowboards, coolers sweatshirts, and more, along with some pool stick raffles as well. If you have never had a chance to play in a KOP event especially a finals event, talk to some players that have and find out about all the fun and excitement.
