With a lot of other pool tournaments going on and players headed to, or already in Las Vegas for the BCA Leagues Championships, it was going to be questionable what the turnout would be for the Spring WMO being held at the Granite State Music Hall/Underground Lounge in Laconia, NH from March 31st to April 3rd. Low and behold it was once again a great turnout. There were over 230 entries in 8 events from Thursday March 31st to April 3rd. There was some great competition in all events starting with the Women’s Open Singles on Friday night. After going to Las Vegas and then coming back home to New Hampshire in the wee hours of the morning on Friday, Nicole Spooner showed up and managed to find enough stamina to win the Women’s Open Singles, edging out Cherri DiSilva who placed a strong 2nd place.
