beds fail as wildlife magnets; most are inhospitable deserts to birds
and butterflies.” Jim Wilson
“The simplest wildflower meadow is more complex, more botanically
varied, than a grass lawn, offering a long season of pollens, nectars,
and finally seeds, along with nesting sites and shelter for all those
creatures that used to live somewhere before we arrived.” Ken Druse
