PROGRAM: Make Wreaths/Centerpieces for members, auction, &
Nursing homes.
DATES: December 21 - First day of winter.
DID YOU KNOW? Woody plants, brush piles, leaf litter, and seed
heads of wildflowers provide spots for insects to overwinter. This
creates a ready source of food for many types of non-migratory birds.
Dead trees, called snags, also harbor an abundance of invertebrates -
virtual sushi bars for birds.
