existing employee. nou Systems employees who marry one another during their employment will
be allowed to remain with the Company unless they are in a superior-subordinate relationship
and there is no open position to which one of them may be moved.
Human Resources may approve your working with relatives or persons holding close personal
relationships where such relationships do not create substantial conflicts of interest threatening
the well-being of nou Systems operations or activities. Where possible, nou Systems will strive to
neutralize such conflicts of interests without impairing the benefits you receive from the
Company; however, nou Systems reserves the right to take any action necessary to remove
conflicts of interest that threaten the Company.
7.3 Attendance and Punctuality
At nou Systems, we believe in autonomy and flexibility in the way we achieve our work goals, and
we strive to provide a work environment that reflects these values. Outside of this, it is essential
that each employee be at work on time every day to enable nou Systems to meet its
requirements. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility of each employee at
the Company. When given clear directions about attendance, any tardiness or absence causes
problems for fellow employees and Customers. When an employee is absent, others must
perform the work, which diminishes the smooth functioning of the Company.
Absenteeism and lateness lessen an employee's chances for advancement and may result in
dismissal. Failure to report to work on time is an attendance violation and, depending on the
situation and the frequency of occurrence, may result in disciplinary measures. The supervisor is
responsible to report to HR when an employee is out for more than three days. Each absence will
be marked as excused or unexcused.
An Employee must schedule Annual Leave with her/his supervisor in advance. Annual Leave may
be used in the case of emergency or sudden illness without prior scheduling, but sufficient
notification should be provided. Patterns of absenteeism or tardiness may result in discipline
even if the employee has not yet exhausted available leave. Supervisors and Managers are to
notify Human Resources when an employee is out for more than three days.
7.4 Attire and Grooming
It is important for all employees to project a professional image while at work by being
appropriately attired. nou Systems employees are expected to be neat, clean, and well-groomed
while on the job. Clothing and hair styles must be consistent with the standards for a business
environment and must be appropriate to the type of work being performed.
nou Systems recognizes that employees may have certain religious beliefs that prohibit certain
attire. nou Systems will reasonably accommodate the wearing of such attire unless that attire
creates an undue hardship, disruption, or safety issue in the workplace. Employees who wish to
request a workplace attire accommodation should contact the Human Resource Manager.
