Wario Arero, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Sports,
Culture and the Arts Amb. Kirimi P. Kaberia,
President, Athletics Kenya Lt. Gen (Rtd) Jackson
Tuwei, LOC CEO Mwangi Muthee and many more.

It was time to relax, enjoy each other’s company, let
their hair down and deepen relationships with com-
rades. e informal event program had no speeches.

What worked
EDITORIAL BOARD
• e venue was appropriate for the 3000sqm es-
timate required for setup
• e dinner set up was excellent. Sarova were able
to setup various serving points to serve VIPs and
athletes
• e dinner started on good time. All guests were
ferried from Kasarani after the closing ceremony
and were at the venue from 8.00pm
• e event was well attended. Majority of Athletes,
Offi cials and Volunteers attended the event.
• Security secured the venue well: Following a
meeting with the OCPD, a security plan to secure
the venue, escort Athletes to and from the Hostels,
Assist with parking was implemented.
• e entertainment procured suited the crowd.
