Reading 1: A reading from “Wings of Fire” by Dr. Abdul Kalam,

            Former President of India

I have always been a religious person in the sense that I maintain a working partnership with God. I was
aware that the best work required more ability than I possessed and therefore I needed help that God only
            could give me.
I made true estimate of my own ability, then raised it by 50 per cent and put myself in God’s hands. In
this partnership, I have always received all the power I needed, and in fact have actually felt it flowing
through me. Today, I can affirm that the kingdom of God is within you in the form of this power, to help
achieve your goals and realize your dreams.

Reading 2: A reading from St. Paul’s Letter to the Philippians

            4:4-9

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The
            Lord is near.
Never worry about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your
requests be made known to God. And the peace of God which is beyond our understanding, will guard
your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

Let your minds be filled with everything that is true, everything that is honourable, everything that is
upright and pure, everything that we love and admire - with whatever is good and praiseworthy. Then the
God of peace will be with you.

            Prayer of Petitions

Lord, as we stand before you this evening, we ask for your blessings upon the graduating class present
here today. We thank you for the privilege you gave them to study at LIBA and to complete their course
successfully. We thank you for their learning and their experiences, for it has moulded them into fine and
special people, who stand tall and proud.
Response: Lord, we praise and thank you

Lord, we ask you to bless them as they have started on new journeys in their lives. May their work be a
reflection of your glory. Give them more grace when their burdens grow heavier. Send them more strength
when their labours are onerous; in time of affliction shower on them your blessing.

Response: Lord, we praise and thank you
Lord, we thank you for the management; the faculty, and for the ever-supporting staff. We thank you for
our collaborators, business organizations and our benefactors who have supported us and offered our
students challenging careers. Bless them and make them fitting instruments to serve you and your children
            with greater dedication and commitment.

Response: Lord, we praise and thank you
