Tad and Grami carried the bulging brown wicker basket into the kitchen. “Thank you, Tad,” said Grami. “I appreciate your help.”
“I’ll help you unload the food and put it on the table, too,” said Tad. “But I won’t eat a bite until everyone is here in the kitchen.” Grami laughed.
Toni walked with Aimi into the house. Aimi sat on a chair beside the kitchen table. Toni put the pillow made from Grami’s soft coat on Aimi’s lap, just like Toni had seen Grami do in the car.
Aimi carefully rested her arm with the new pink cast on the pillow made by Grami’s soft coat. “Thank you, Toni,” said Aimi. “I’m glad you are my friend.”
“I’m glad you are my friend, too,” said Toni. “Friends help each other.”
